The Dave Matthews Band will headline three large outdoor concerts to be held in Atlantic City this summer.
The shows will mark the gambling resort's first major use of the former Bader Field airport property since the airfield shut down in 2006.
City Attorney G. Bruce Ward tells The Press of Atlantic City the contracts were signed Monday. Virginia-based Starr Hill Presents will promote and pay for the show, with the city gaining some revenue from it.
Ward says the real boost will be to the resort's reputation as a big-name entertainment capital.
The concerts will be held June 24, 25 and 26, and will feature several other acts to be announced later in addition to the Grammy Award-winning Dave Matthews Band.
